[homemade] Egg Muffins with Sausage and Cougar Gold Cheese


1 bunch green onions, chopped

1/2 green bell pepper, chopped

1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
8 large eggs

3 ounces fully-cooked breakfast sausage

1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste

1 pinch onion powder, or to taste

salt and ground black pepper to taste

1 8 oz tube of crescent roll dough cut into rounds

6 ounce shredded Cougar Gold Cheese (that award-winning canned extra sharp white cheddar!)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 12-cup nonstick muffin tin. Press each roll onto base of muffin cup and press up slightly. Whisk eggs. Add sausage, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese into the bowl and whisk ingredients together until incorporated. Pour mixture equally into the prepared muffin cups.Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean, about 25 minutes. Let cool slightly before serving.
